Following recommendations made by the recently established Working Groups and the ESAA Officers, the proposals accepted at the recent General Committee Meeting for amendments to the format of the Track and Field 2026 Championships were:
To use the U16/U18/Y13 age groups for hurdles. Y8s not to be included and that this should be carried forward to the long hurdles. (Technical specifications to follow).
To use the Junior/Inter/Senior age groups for throws using the recommended UKA specifications (1st April 2026) for the higher age group in each competition. (Technical specifications to follow).
