- Pass the Caedmon College site on your left, and turn right at the traffic lights still on the A171 towards Scarborough, the venue (Whitby Sixth Form ) is on the right just before the bridge
- Runners are reminded that the wooded area can sometimes be slippery and that care should be taken on the tree roots. The course is suitable for spikes.

COUNTY REPRESENTATIVE TEAM SELECTION
- In the Junior, Inter and Senior Age Groups, the first 15 will be selected to represent North Yorkshire in the North East Inter Counties, at Stewarts Park, Middlesbrough on Sat 3rd February. Athletes will receive an invitation letter at the finish at Whitby. The first 6 will be selected for the English Schools Cross Country at Pontefract on Saturday 16 March, and 2 others will be selected for the English Schools after the match on Sat.3rd February.
- In the Year 7, the first 12 will be selected to represent North Yorkshire in the North East Inter Counties, at Stewart Park, Middlesbrough on Sat. 3rd February. Athletes will receive an invitation letter at the finish at Whitby. The first 6 will be selected to represent North Yorkshire in a major Year 7 race at Leicestershire on Sunday 3rd March and 4 others will be added after the match on 3rd February.
- In all age groups, athletes who can not run at Whitby through illness or injury or accepted reason but are clear contenders for National selection can apply to run in the match at Stewart Park. Not all reasons are accepted, and the athlete must have race results to back up the request.
- The athlete should be properly withdrawn from Whitby by informing the Team Manager.
