Wow, what a fabulous couple of days. Saturday’s a super Saturday, it was raining golds!
4 golds, 1 silver, 2 bronze, 9 top 8 finishers and 17 pbs.
It was great to see young people coming together as one team and supporting each other. Many stayed until the end to cheer on our senior boys captain in the very last race. Lots returned on the bus, as they just don’t want the occasion to end.
It is always sad to see the Y13 leave, an emotional time as we have known them for so long, particularly those who have run XC and competed in Combined Events as well.
We wish them the very best of luck in the next chapter of their lives and we will certainly be keeping an eye on their athletics progress.
Team photo below as well as a couple of pictures of our FOUR National Champions and medalists, as well as out team captains. To have one national champ is wonderful, but FOUR, BOOM!
Good luck to Juliette, who will represent England next Saturday in Belfast at the SIAB meeting. Photos and a small report please?
We celebrate the success of our top athletes, but well done to all, 17 pbs in total. Some are of course disappointed but that is what makes us stronger, we go away and train and come back again. As Alastair said, miles in the winter and smiles in the summer!
Thank you to our fabulous sponsors; their support enables us to keep costs down. Pentelow Wealth Management and Endless.
