What a fabulous weekend at Manchester, it was wonderful to see athletes competing after all this time. The North Yorkshire athletes dis us proud with some excellent performances. Results for the North Yorks athletes can be found on the results page and photos in the Gallery. Great to see a National Champion in Joe O’Brien in the SB 3000m, those who medalled and those who achieved pbs. It is the taking part that counts. Congratulations also to Therese Tolan who was runner up in the 300m Hurdles and has been selected to represent England in the SIAB meeting at Derby on Saturday 25th September. Good luck.
Two athletes who were unable to join us were Ethan Hussey and Eleanor Colbourn who were both selected to represent their country at the European U20 Championships in the Ukraine. We wish them the best of luck.
It is also worth noting that two ex North Yorkshire Schools athletes will be at the Tokyo Olympics competing this month. Scott Lincoln and Marc Scott have been selected, a truly magnificent achievement. Scott putts the shot and Marc is a 10,000m runner.
